Tri-State Industrial Health Screening can medically clear your staff to wear a respirator using one of the following two OSHA/MSHA/NIOSH acceptable methods.

1. OSHA RESPIRATOR MEDICAL EVALUATION QUESTIONNAIRE

 

BENEFITS:

  • Assist in determining if an individual is medically cleared to wear a respirator based on the responses provided on the OSHA questionnaire.
  • Respiratory medical clearance documentation provided by a licensed respiratory therapist or registered nurse for those employees with acceptable questionnaire responses.
  • Does not require an on-site visit to your facility

2. ON-SITE PULMONARY FUNCTION TESTING WITH NIOSH-TRAINED TECHNICIANS USING STATE-OF-THE-ART EQUIPMENT

 

BENEFITS:

  • Assist in determining if an individual is medically cleared to wear a respirator by precisely measuring certain lung expiration characteristics.
  • Detects if there are any obstructions (a prolonging of airflow during expiration) and/or restrictions (inability to fully expand the lungs).
  • Respiratory medical clearance documentation provided by a licensed respiratory therapist or register nurse for those employees with a breathing ability that falls into an acceptable range based on age, weight, gender, height and overall health.
