Also, all of the report is provided in electronic format. We have the capability to go paperless. Our software program is compatible with all of the Occupational Medical Care Management Programs.

100% OSHA/MSHA/NIOSH Compliant

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration's Occupational Noise Exposure Standard and Hearing Conservation Amendment 29 CFR 1910.95 and the Mine Safety and Health Administration's Occupational Noise Exposure Standard CFR 30 Part 62, require employers to establish and maintain a hearing conservation program for all employees whose noise exposure equals or exceeds an 8-hour time weighted average sound level (TWA) of 85 decibels. Tri State IHS's Industrial Mobile Hearing Testing complies fully with the OSHA and MSHA Occupational Noise Exposure Standards and will help you establish and maintain a hearing conservation program so that your company will be 100% compliant!

Flexible Scheduling

We schedule our services at your premises, to meet your needs and your schedule.

Less Disruption to Production

Our industrial mobile hearing testing units are equipped with individual sound booths and manual audiometers with each test being performed within 5 minutes, thus providing the lowest impact possible on production. We have the capacity to test from 12 to 26 employees per hour.

Greater Accuracy

Manual audiometers are used to provide the most accurate test results possible.

  • Technicians immediately compare baseline test with current thresholds, thus dramatically lowering the chance of inaccurate results, which can lead to expensive retesting. Visual examination with an otoscope by an RN is provided.
  • Possible causes for any deviation between baseline and current test results for each employee are noted for audiological review and employee notification.

Testing is conducted by CAOHC certified and licensed occupational hearing conservationists. All test results are reviewed and approved by physician. Ambient noise levels are well below mandatory OSHA and MSHA standards in each testing booth, which ensures testing accuracy.

21 years of actual industry experience

Founded in 1955, our parent company originally provided clinical audiology for otologists in Stark County, Ohio. By 1975, they initiated on site audiometric testing and featured mobile hearing testing units with additional services that include hearing conservation training and sound level surveys. In 1988, services were expanded to include on-site respiratory medical clearance testing and the founding of a Cincinnati Branch. In 2008 we separated from the Canton parent company and became Tri-State IHS, adding a new and updated software program and a higher level of professionalism and customer service.
